Getting Cultural in Covid Times
Getting Cultural in Covid Times is a podcast about artists and the art world and how it's coping with the COVID-19 Pandemic. It's also about creating more of a sense of community in the art world as we struggle with carrying on via the web. Hosted by Sarah Josie and artist, art writer, and curator of Virtuoso9 Gallery. Sarah Josie has had her works published in Framework, an art journal run by UNSW Art and Design, and has also written for Arcadia an online publication run by UNSW Art and Design.
About Virtuoso9
Virtuoso 9 Gallery is a more personal approach to a virtual online gallery. Virtuoso9 Gallery has interactive qualities that make you feel as though you are in a gallery looking at the works, yourself. This is also an opportunity for artists to get their works seen without it costing too much. Virtuoso9 Gallery understands how difficult it can be getting proposals accepted and of course the fact that a lot of young artists don't have the money early in their career.
To keep Virtuoso9 a free opportunity for artists please donate.
About the Curator
Aria Joshes is a recent graduate from UNSW Art and Design. She's been on the Kudos Gallery Committee, Written for Framework and Arcadia and did an Internship with Arc Art and Design. She's worked with the likes of Sian Kelly, Anna May Kirk, Jackie De Lacy and Kieran Butler. Aria was one of the curators for Discharge, an exhibition at AD Space in 2018. She also curated an exhibition in Three Foot Squared in 2019 and her own Solo show in AD Space in early 2021 called Self Made.
